On September 1, 2026 I started as Assistant Professor in the Division of Plant Science & Technology at the University of Missouri and as Director of the Enns Entomology Museum. With the move comes a new lab: the EPIC Lab — Species Exploration, Phenomics, Informatics & Conservation.
The EPIC Lab brings together the threads of my research so far — the systematics of parasitoid wasps, phenomics and anatomy ontologies, and biodiversity informatics — and adds a fourth: using museum collections to document how insect diversity is changing. The lab is based at the Enns Entomology Museum, Missouri's insect collection, and we are looking for students and collaborators who want to work with specimens, images and data.
